Worst Service EVER!!!!!

We have gone to the Chateau Rest. about 10 times in the last year. We like to play Keno. The bartenders are not friendly. You can sit with any empty glass until YOU ask for another. The food is terrible. Everything in this place is below average. No consistency to anything. If I owned this place I would fire all the bartenders and start over. They are the WORST bartenders I have ever experienced in my life. They don't recognize regulars, they are not outgoing or friendly. They probably should be dishwashers and not bartenders. Totaly BAD SERVICE. We enjoy Keno but looking for other places so we will never have to go back there.

Pros: Keno

Cons: Food is inconsistent & the bartenders are lousy

Noisy, good for groups, families only!

This was our first visit to the Chateau, celebrating our 10th anniversary, and I was so looking forward to it all day. The staff upon entering was very inviting, and pleasant. As we look into the dining room, we see lot's of booth's available but they proceeded to take us to the 2nd smaller room, which I thought could of been quieter and more (not so much romantic)personal.. I got a bad feeling about this as soon as I saw it, there were 4-5 tables filled with parties of 9 or so. The noise was overbearing, and we couldn't even hear our waitress! The sat us right in the middle of all these tables! Shame on us for not requesting a booth, or quieter table. It ruined our appetites, we couldn't even talk to each other unless we yelled as loud as the cackling, singing, other diners. It got so that they were all trying to talk over each other. We had to endure this thoughout the whole meal, because even though they were all fed and paid...they stayed until we left. All the while we are looking into the next room through the glass doors at two peaceful looking booths empty. The flod selection was nice, pricing was medium, and our meals were OK, kind of bland. I got the haddock with lobster, and my husband got a steak. The waitress informed us that she had to pull teeth in the kitchen to give him roasted potatoes instead of mashed, french fries, or rice. Are you kidding me? They wanted to charge us extra for that. The service for us was quick, no long wait. With all the noise we couldn't wait to get out any way! I will try this place again though, but ask for a booth instead.

Pros: Good for groups, families

Cons: Incredibly Noisy, no romance here!

Not Worth It

My boyfriend and I have been to Chateau several times, and the only thing that we have found that tastes good is the buffalo chicken pizza and the steak tip salad. Every time I have gone to the Chateau I have tried a different entree and each one has tasted horrible. The pasta is worse than something that comes out of a can. The steaks are so-so but definitely not worth the price. The vegetables are not fresh at all, and when we went all they had was a squash mushy substance and green beans. I would describe the food as cafeteria-style at an overly-inflated price. Our server was an older woman who clearly did not enjoy waiting on twenty-somethings, and got visibly angry when I asked for cheese and sour cream for my baked potato and initially trying to say that they did not have cheese at the restaurant. We kept going to this restaurant because we enjoyed that they had two dining rooms, one with a nice bar, televisions at each booth, and keno. However, it is just no longer worth going to this restaurant because of the long waits, cruddy service, and awful food.

Pros: Good bar scene, keno, televisions at each booth, two dining rooms

Cons: Awful food, terrible service, long waits
